"Danica" was founded in 2005 by one of the global marine industry's preeminent marine diesel engine specialists, Holger Jacobsen, to minimize pollution by maximizing the performance of large diesel engines. Our mission is to provide quality services and products that facilitate engine performance excellence, and thereby reduce operating and maintenance costs, and also benefit the environment. Simply put, Danica aims to convert marine diesel engines into ECOengines, minimizing vessel pollution by maximizing engine performance, resulting in ECOnomic benefits for vessel operators.

Danica's team of professionals headed by Holger Jacobsen work closely with ship owners, ship managers and power station operators, as well as ship yards and associated suppliers to the marine diesel engine market to ensure engine performance optimization. We provide our customers with technical consulting services as well as precision measuring equipment for ongoing engine performance as well as expert monitoring and diagnostics. Founder Holger Jacobsen has earned an enviable reputation in the marine industry resulting from 25 years of experience working in senior management positions for industry leaders. While Mr. Jacobsen chose West Vancouver, B.C., Canada to locate Danica's head office, due to the global nature of our work Danica is comprised of an international team of professionals with years of experience and expertise working with two-stroke and four-stroke diesel engines, predominantly MAN B&W engines and Wartsila (Sulzer) engines. Danica's professionals include diesel engine specialists, as well as a dedicated sales and administrative team, and IT professionals to assist with IT-based engine monitoring and software maintenance around the globe.
